School Bag Contents~

I know this may seem a bit strange since I won't be using a school bag
after mid-June, but I really wanted to do a school bag contents post!

Here's the sort of things I usually bring to school with me:
(I've brought fewer and fewer things with me every year, this would've been
a really LONG list if I'd done it my freshman/sophomore year)
  • small pouch with my IDs, debit card, and punchcards in it
  • eyeliner + brush
  • lip stain
  • a few pens and a pencil + eraser
  • teabags <:
  • hand lotion/cream
  • portable thumb-drive
  • mini super-stapler
  • solid perfume
  • hair ties
  • mini sketchbook/notebook
  • A4 file + folder to carry paper/homework/notes etc in
  • jack-knife
  • pocket mirror
  • iPhone wall plug & extra battery pack (incase there's no outlet around)

I got my bag on Ebay a couple of years ago.
Someone in San Diego was selling theirs so I got it for $25 - Candy Sugar
are usually really expensive so it was a great deal!  c:
(I'd been saving for one for a while but this was much better,
plus it was basically brand new with not a scratch on it.)
It's really roomy especially because I don't bring a lot of things to school anymore,
but the extra room gets taken up by my laptop (my laptop's 13.5" and it fits with space to spare).
It's also not made of really heavy materials so it doesn't add onto the weight.

My boyfriend gave me the squeaky Pikachu toy, &
my parents gave me the dolphin carabiner on my birthday
(it's meant to be for my house/car keys eventually).

I actually used to carry a LOT of things to school with me, because I commute
and tbh it's really difficult and timeconsuming to go back home
if I forget something in the morning (it's a 40 minute drive!).
I forgot things a lot ...which I figured out was because I brought SO much stuff
that I actually lost track!  (I also sometimes misplaced things too, even at school. :c  )
On top of that, I used to carry a backpack - so I had really bad cramps/sore spots
in my neck and back & bad posture, from carrying such a heavy backpack every day.

So what I did was make a list of everything in my bag (long list!), and tally-mark next to something
each time I used it.  At the end of the week, whatever had less than 5 marks got left at home!

Another thought - shoulder totes (as long as they're not crazy heavy) are actually
BETTER for your back and posture than backpacks, since backpacks tend to force
you to lean your body forward against the weight....especially if you wear your backpack wrong!
Wearing the straps really long (so that the bag's body hangs low on your back) is one
way that can hurt your back muscles and spine.

Plus you'll feel better and it'll be easier to keep track of your things, the less you bring with you. c:
I hope this was helpful!
